Premier Private GP – Consent Policy

1. Consent to Share Information

  • With NHS GP: You provide consent for Premier Private GP clinicians to share relevant medical information with your NHS GP where it is deemed clinically necessary in your best interest.
  • With Third-Party Providers: You consent to your medical details being shared with third-party service providers such as pathology laboratories, radiology imaging providers, and other medical specialists where referrals or further diagnostic or treatment interventions are required.

2. Marketing Consent

  • You may be contacted for marketing purposes related to health services and updates from Premier Private GP. You will have the option to opt out at any time.

3. Use of Information for Training and Monitoring

  • The information you provide during registration and throughout your care journey may be used for staff training, auditing, and monitoring to ensure quality improvement and patient safety.

4. Data Protection & GDPR Compliance

  • Your personal and medical data will be processed and stored in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • Data will be retained for a period of three (3) years, unless a request is made by either party for earlier deletion or continued storage.

5. Communication and Sharing of Medical Information

  • We may use the contact details (telephone number and/or email address) provided by you to share medical advice, information, and appointment updates.
  • It is the responsibility of the service user to ensure that the contact details provided are private and accessible only by themselves. If this is not the case, the service user must inform Premier Private GP immediately to arrange an alternative method of communication.

6. Patient Portal and Confidentiality

  • To ensure confidentiality, medical documents and information will be made available via a secure patient portal, accessible only by the patient. By default, it will be assumed that you consent to receiving medical information via text or email notifications linked to your portal.

7. Consent for Electronic Records & E-Signatures

  • You consent to the use of electronic records and digital signatures where required for medical documentation, treatment approvals, and administrative purposes.

8. Consent for Video and Telephone Consultations

  • You consent to consultations being carried out via telephone or secure video conferencing tools where appropriate. These consultations will be documented as part of your medical record.

9. Consent to Collect and Use Health Data for Clinical Audit & Service Improvement

  • Anonymised data from your consultations may be used internally for clinical audit, research, or service improvement purposes. No identifiable information will be shared outside Premier Private GP without your explicit consent.

10. Consent to Prescription Management

  • You consent to the management and issuance of private prescriptions, including sharing necessary information with the dispensing pharmacy or external prescribing partners as part of your treatment.

11. Consent to Use Interpreters or Chaperones

  • Where necessary for safe and effective care, you consent to the use of interpreters or clinical chaperones, which will be documented and provided in line with our safeguarding policy.

12. Withdrawal of Consent

  • You have the right to withdraw consent at any time by informing us in writing. Please note that this may affect our ability to provide you with certain services safely and effectively.
