Do I need a referral?

No. You can self-refer to our adult ADHD service. With your permission, we can share key information with your NHS GP if needed.

Can you prescribe ADHD medication?

Treatment options, including medication, will be discussed during your assessment and follow-up review. Before prescribing, we ensure appropriate physical checks and monitoring are in place.

Is this assessment recognised for work or university?

We can provide clear documentation of your assessment and diagnosis, which many employers and universities accept as part of reasonable adjustment requests. Each organisation has its own policies, but our reports are written with this in mind.

Can the assessment be done online?

Many adults choose secure video consultations. Some aspects, such as physical checks or ECGs (if needed), may still be best done in clinic.

How long does it all take?

Waiting times vary, but our pathway is typically measured in weeks, not years. We’ll give you a realistic timeframe when you enquire.
